On February 10th, 2020 six-year-old Faye Marie Swetlik disappeared from her parent’s home in Cayce, South Carolina. The little girl’s body was found three days later on the property of her thirty-year-old neighbor Coty Taylor, who law enforcement found dead in his home. They suspect Taylor killed Swetlik and then committed suicide. Authorities say Swetlik had either been strangled or suffocated to death.

South Carolina authorities announced a link Friday between the suspected homicide of a 6-year-old girl and the death of a 30-year-old man who lived in her family’s South Carolina neighborhood.

Cayce Department of Public Safety Sgt. Evan Antley said during a Friday news conference that he could not provide specifics about the relationship between the deaths of Faye Marie Swetlik and the neighbor, who was identified as Coty Scott Taylor.
